| BACK TO GUIDED TOURS HOME PAGE OPTION 1 - 3 DAY TOUR TO DRAKENSBERG MOUNTAINS, LION PARK, TALA PRIVATE GAME RESERVE, VALLEY OF 1000 HILLS, PHEZULU SAFARI PARK Day 1 – Depart 8am from Durban for the Royal National Park in the Drakensberg Mountains, a mere 2 ˝ hours away, which includes the spectacular view of the Drakensberg Amphitheatre. After a tour of the Royal National Park a stop for lunch at Bingelela, renowned for good food. After lunch a drive through the Central Drakensberg, stopping at a local carpet weaving/candle factory and other attractions. Afternoon tea at the foot of the mountains, with spectacular views. Overnight will be at the Sandford Park Resort. Day 2 – A 9am departure for a 2 hour ride to the Lion Park where lions can be photographed at close quarters. A short 30 minute drive takes you to Tala Private Game Reserve, a 7000 acre reserve, where you will overnight. Lunch will be at Tala Game Reserve and after lunch a leisurely drive through the game reserve to encounter Rhino, Buffalo, Giraffe, Zebra, Wildebeest, Hippo and a wide variety of Antelope. Day 3 – Depart 8am for a scenic drive through the Valley of 1000 Hills. On the return to Durban a stop at PheZulu Safari Park which includes a crocodile and snake park with live shows and Zulu dancing. After lunch at PheZulu Safari Park a drive to Hillcrest, home of the famous Victorian style shoppers paradise, The Heritage. After a visit to The Heritage a short drive back. BACK TO GUIDED TOURS HOME PAGE OPTION 2 - 3 DAY GAME DRIVE TOUR TO SHAKALAND, ST. LUCIA ESTUARY, CHEETAH BREEDING SITE & HLUHLUWE/IMFOLOZI BIG 5 GAME PARK Day 1 - Depart from Durban for a 1 ˝ hour drive from Durban to Shakaland. “The Greatest Zulu Experience in Africa” 11.00am tour of Shakaland for 2 hours including a 40 minute Zulu Dancing experience which will keep you spellbound. A 1.00pm buffet lunch at Shakaland. At 2.00pm depart for the St. Lucia, a World Heritage Site and the largest estuary in Africa covering 38,000 Ha. Overnight in a guesthouse in St. Lucia Day 2 - The day starts at 9am with a 2 hour boat ride on the St. Lucia Estuary to view hippopotami and crocodile in their natural habitat. This is followed by a visit to the Crocodile Centre. On the drive to Hluhluwe a stop at the Zululand Arts & Crafts Centre is a must. En-route we have a 1 ˝ hour tour of Emdoneni Cheetah Breeding Site where you will walk amongst Cheetah, Serval Cats, Nyala and other game species. A 6.00pm arrival at Bonamanzi Private Game Park where accommodation is provided in air-conditioned, thatch style units with en-suite bathrooms, overlooking a picturesque dam. Dinner will be at Lalapanzi Restaurant & Bar. Day 3 - Pick-up 5.30am for a game drive through Hluhluwe/Imfolozi Big 5 Game Park, from 6.00am to 2.30pm. Light breakfast and lunch will be provided on the game drive with refreshments. Depart Hluhluwe at approximately 2.30pm for the drive back to your hotel.
